About Us
Best Life Community Services was organized in 1975, under the name of Nemaha County Training Center, and is a not-for-profit organization operating under a twelve member Governing Board. Our name change happened in 2025 at our 50th Anniversary to better represent our goals for the Community.
Best Life provides employment and vocational services, day services, community living services, and case coordination services to individuals affected by intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD). Best Life's service area encompasses all of Nemaha County.
Best Life secures financing from
- various federal, state, and county sources
- from its own production department
- from private fees
- from fund raising and donations

Best Life is committed to assisting individuals served with living full and productive lives through advocacy and quality supports, now and in the future.

Best Life believes that all individuals have the right to a quality of life that allows for personal dignity, respect, choice, and opportunity, to live and work as independently as possible, and to fully participate in their communities.
Best Life supports and advocates alongside individuals served in order for them to achieve their full potential.

Support Us
As a not-for-profit organization, Best Life seeks support from the local community to support the much needed services that Best Life provides to people who are affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Serve on Best Life's Governing Board
Best Life operates under a 12-member governing board. The board members represent various geographic areas of the county as well as different areas of expertise, including that of a family member or guardian of a person with a developmental disability.
The board meets one Thursday evening a month at the main office in Seneca. Board terms are for three years and a member can serve up to 3 consecutive terms if reappointed by the board.

DonateBest Life is a private not for profit corporation. Best Life does not have taxing authority and is partially dependent upon donations and private contributions for operating income. Thrift Store Donations
The Right Stuff Thrift Store, owned and operated by Best Life Community Services, creates an opportunity for community members to donate items they no longer need, so thrifty shoppers can buy items at a great price!
Items may be donated to the Right Stuff in Sabetha, at any time of the day including weekends and/or evenings. Also, for the public's convenience a drop-off, in Seneca, is located at the NCTC building, 12 South 11th. Look for the white trailer and donate by entering thru the side door.
The Right Stuff Thrift Store also provides wage-earning job opportunities for the consumers of Best Life .
