Community Living
The Community Living Program serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the residence of their choice and that best meets their needs. Our versatile services can be provided if you are living with your family, in your own apartment/house, or in one of our agency owned, fully staffed homes.
In Seneca and Sabetha, Best Life provides residential services in group homes through 24 hour staffing. Best Life staff provides assistance to individuals with their daily living needs. The services provided address the person’s independence, adaptive needs, integration, and participation in the community.
In addition to providing residential services in a group home setting, Best Life also provides services to individuals living in their own homes or apartments. Services might include direct assistance with health care needs, self care activities or tasks promoting independence, productivity, and community integration. The services provided are customized to the level of support needed by the individual.
In addition to working with individuals to meet their daily living needs, the community aspect of Best Life’s residential services is very important. Individuals served by Best Life Residential Services are very busy with activities, including dining out as a group and other activities as selected by the residents.
